The Magic are ready to begin scheduling interviews for their general manager vacancy and hope to have a hire in place within three weeks.

Mitch Kupchak is expected to be amongst the first candidates, according to a source. There is no indication yet that Kupchak would be interested in leaving the Lakers.

Orlando is also interested in David Morway, Jeff Bower and Kevin Pritchard.

Donnie Walsh is also of interest, but the team believes he will wind up with the Pacers if Larry Bird retires.
