Joakim Noah hopes to recover from a sprained left ankle in time to play in the Olympics.

"I hope that I’ll be healthy and able to play for France this summer,” Noah said. “I’m working hard to be back on the court as soon as possible.”

Noah and the French national team clinched an automatic berth in the upcoming Olympics by finishing second in last summer’s EuroBasket competition.

“Our group is very talented," Noah said. "We have a lot of very good players and everyone is extremely motivated to help France do its best during the competition.

"We’ll fight for a medal."
