Odom Withdraws Name From Olympic Team, Nine Players Guaranteed Spots

Lamar Odom withdrew his name from Olympic consideration, leaving Team USA with 15 finalists.
Jerry Colangelo said nine players have secured their spots: guards Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Russell Westbrook; forwards LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Love; and center Tyson Chandler.
Blake Griffin, Andre Iguodala, Rudy Gay, James Harden, Eric Gordon and Anthony Davis will vie for the three remaining slots.
Davis suffered a sprained ankle in a recent workout, but remains under consideration for the team.
