Aaron Craft underwent surgery two weeks ago to remove a bone chip in his left ankle that has been bothering him since high school.

"If he turned the ankle wrong just a certain way, that small piece of bone would get jammed back on his tibia and it would cause excruciating pain," said Aaron’s father, John Craft.

Ohio State coach Thad Matta called the elder Craft and asked if he could persuade Aaron to have surgery just so he would take two weeks off from working on his game.

"He hasn't stopped since we've been back from (the Final Four in) New Orleans," Matta told the father.
