The Rockets have presented Jeremy Lin with a multi-year offer sheet. Lin is currently considering whether or not to accept it.

Lin's deal includes backloaded money in an attempt to deter the Knicks from matching it. But New York has been adamant in their intention to match any offer sheet Lin signs with a rival team.

Lin was with the Rockets during last preseason, but was behind Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic on the depth chart.

"Even if he stayed here, we probably wouldn't have recognized his talent as much as we should’ve," Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said. "He probably wouldn’t have played much at all, and then would’ve been released at the end of the year. I didn’t know he could play this well, and if I did, we would’ve kept him."
