Brook Lopez and the Nets are moving toward a maximum contract, acording to sources.

Billy King and agent Arn Tellem are finalizing the length of the deal, either four years for $58 million or $78 over five.

There will be protections on the back end to account for a possible injury to the right foot Lopez broke twice in the past year.

Lopez has been included in trade talks for Dwight Howard.

If Lopez signs a deal with the Nets, he can't be dealt until December.

The Nets are waiting for the Magic to make a decision on whether they want to trade for Lopez.
