Kyle Anderson, Shabazz Muhammad Aware Of Expectations For UCLA
Kyle Anderson and Shabazz Muhammad are carrying the weight of high expectations for the upcoming season.
"I have read all kinds of outlandish stuff," said Anderson, who will team with Muhammad, Jordan Adams and Tony Parker to give UCLA one of its highest rated freshmen classes since Lew Alcindor in 1965. "I saw one thing where all four of us will be named All-American this year. That would be nice if it happens, but let's be realistic here.
"We have a lot of work to do."
Anderson expects the opposition’s best effort.
"Every team has heard about the great recruiting class coming in," he said. "We're UCLA. Everybody will get a kick out of beating us."
The Bruins' counterpunch is simple, "We know we have to come in here and have a chip on our shoulder," Muhammad said. "We can't be lazy and think we're going to win."
