Tony DiLeo has emerged as a leading candidate to become general manager of the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers have been impressed with DiLeo's work assisting Rod Thorn this offseason.

DiLeo has been part of the 76ers' front office since the 90-91 season and had been a finalist to become GM of the Blazers.

The 76ers are also considering Jeff Bower, as Mike Zarren has withdrawn from consideration and the organization appears to have moved away from Tom Penn.
