Jabari Parker is still recovering from a fracture in his right foot, which he suffered while helping Team USA’s U-17 squad win a gold medal this summer.

“He is going to the doctor in a couple weeks (Nov. 19) and we’ll see if the bone is healed,” Sonny Parker, Jabari’s father, said. “He doesn’t have any pain, but you never know.

“We did it without surgery. He is young so it’s better this way.”

Jabari may not be ready for Simeon Academy’s season opener on Dec. 1.

Sonny does not expect Jabari to sign a national letter of intent during the Nov. 14-21 signing period.

“He’ll probably make a commitment in December and sign in April,” Sonny said. “Once he commits, I doubt he’ll de-commit.”
