The Los Angeles Lakers have targeted Phil Jackson and Mike D'Antoni as candidates to replace Mike Brown as head coach, according to sources.

"I know they're trying to get Phil [Jackson] like crazy," said a source with knowledge of the team's thinking.

Brian Shaw could also be considered, according to sources. But Shaw is currently an assistant coach with the Pacers and is believed to be below Jackson and D'Antoni on their wish list.

Brown's camp believes his dismissal came at the behest of owner Jerry Buss, not by his son Jim Buss or with any input from Kobe Bryant.
