Indiana Hoosiers coach Tom Crean has agreed to a two-year extension that will keep him with the school through the 2019-20 season.

“Tom is the real deal,” Indiana athletic director Fred Glass said. “All across the board, he’s not only a great coach, he’s a great family guy. He’s full of integrity. He loves Indiana University and has gotten it from the time he’s been here. I want him to stay here as long as he possibly can.”

Crean’s annual non-performance based pay will increase to $3.16 million.

“It means a lot,” Crean said. “I don’t put it in perspective like that (in terms of the number of years), but I know myself and my family love being here.”
