The Los Angeles Lakers assigned first-year guard Darius Johnson-Odom to the Los Angeles D-Fenders. The assignment is the first for Johnson-Odom.

Johnson-Odom (6-2, 215, Marquette), who was originally selected 55th overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2012 NBA Draft before being acquired by the Lakers on Draft night, appeared in his first NBA game last night against the Golden State Warriors.  In three preseason games for the Lakers this year, he averaged 2.0 points and 4.7 minutes.
