Some NBA observers believe the Miami Heat need to make an in-season trade in order to sustain their position as title favorites.

Any significant trade would almost certainly involve Chris Bosh, but sources say Miami isn't prepared to deal him for a number of reasons.

Bosh, along with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, plotted to play together in the 2010 offseason and dismantling that core would be possibly uncomfortable for the remaining pieces.

"I think they are committed to him," said a rival executive.
