Dwight Howard is expected to return to the Los Angeles Lakers’ lineup Sunday after undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy on his ailing right shoulder.

"He's going to give it a go," said a person familiar with the situation but unauthorized to comment publicly.

Howard has missed four games and left two others due to a torn labrum in his shoulder.

The platelet-rich plasma injections are intended to stimulate healing and growth in the afflicted area.
