Danny Ainge says the Boston Celtics want to re-sign Leandro Barbosa next season.

The Celtics announced on Tuesday that Barbosa will miss the rest of this season with a torn ACL.

Ainge said Barbosa will undergo surgery next month after his MCL sprain heals.

The Celtics are projecting a six- to nine-month recovery for Barbosa.
