Report: Jerry Buss In Intensive Care With Undisclosed Form Of Cancer
Jerry Buss has been hospitalized in Los Angeles with an undisclosed form of cancer.
Buss, who has owned the Lakers since 1979, is in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar have each visited Buss.
A report Thursday from radaronline.com said that players were visiting Buss because of “what they expect to be his final days.”
Buss was involved in the decision to hire Mike D'Antoni.
The 79-year-old Buss has gradually handed more power to his son Jim Buss, as well as daughter Jeanie Buss.
