The New York Knicks are reluctant to reveal the source of Carmelo Anthony's discomfort in his right knee.

Anthony stayed back at the hotel to receive treatment on the knee instead of attending Wednesday's shootaround.

The Knicks have a history of not providing candid information on the nature of players' injuries.

“Before the game I felt like I was dragging my right leg,” Anthony said late Monday. “Maybe that one particular possession I didn’t really have the control that I wanted on that leg and kinda tripped over my other leg.”

According to Mike Woodson, Anthony had asked to come out of the game long before taking a tumble.

The Knicks failed to disclose that Anthony recently had an MRI to determine if there was any structural damage to his knee.
