The Cleveland Cavaliers have no plans of shutting down Kyrie Irving for the rest of the season, according to team sources.

Byron Scott said Thursday he would consider sitting Irving if it meant making his right knee feel better. There was a miscommunication between Irving and Scott, though.

Irving is expected to play on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Irving played almost 38 minutes on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz, showing no negative effects from his hyperextended knee.

The Cavaliers will continue to monitor Irving's knee and he will keep receiving treatment on it.
