If his wife continues to deal with health issues, Rick Adelman believes he may resign as head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves this offseason.

“I think it’s something I’m just going to have to sit down with my wife and family and just talk about and see where we’re going with this," Adelman said Thursday. "The most important thing is where we’re going with her health. Whatever happens will happen naturally.”

"I think there will be a right time to look at everything. I don’t want to really talk about those types of things until it’s done.”

Adelman left the Timberwolves for three weeks -- 11 games -- in January. Minnesota went just 2-9 in that span under Terry Porter.

The Timberwolves are 23-42 this season, which started with playoff aspirations that have since become decimated due to injuries.
