The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached out to Phil Jackson to gauge his interest in the team's head coach opening, according to sources.

Jackson is currently considering potential options. The Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings -- if they relocate to Seattle -- could appeal to Jackson more than the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers have had contact with Jackson after firing Byron Scott last Thursday.

Jackson interviewed with Dan Gilbert in 2005 before the Cavaliers ultimately hired Mike Brown.
