Masai Ujiri has agreed to become the next general manager of the Toronto Raptors.

Ujiri accepted a five-year, $15 million deal to leave the Denver Nuggets for the Raptors.

Ujiri was the 2012-13 NBA Executive of the Year.

Sources say Ujiri's decision to accept the position with the Raptors was made more difficult due to his strong relationship with Josh Kroenke.

Ujiri is the first major hire since Tim Leiweke became CEO of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
