Doc Rivers' status as head coach of the Boston Celtics for next season remains unclear.

"Doc loves coaching," a source told Chris Broussard. "He loves coaching in Boston. But he feels it may be time for a change."

Rivers appears to be waiting on whether the Celtics will bring back Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce next season.
