The Los Angeles Lakers quickly rejected overtures from the Golden State Warriors about a David Lee for Pau Gasol trade last season.

The Lakers have been clearing salary from their cap for the 2014 offseason and Lee's deal runs through 15-16, while Gasol has one season remaining.

The Warriors are again trying to trade Lee this offseason, according to a report from Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Warriors have never received a call from another team about the availability of Lee as he's owed $44 million over the next three seasons. NBA teams are frequently in contact about strictly hypothetical trade scenarios to help gauge the value of their players.
