The Los Angeles Lakers have begun to reconsider their resistance to a sign-and-trade involving Dwight Howard.

Howard continues to deliberate his decision, but the Lakers have rising pessimism about his ability and willingness to coexist with Kobe Bryant and Mike D'Antoni.

The Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are considered the biggest threats to sign away Howard, but the Golden State Warriors have become a legitimate option.

If Howard decides he wants to leave the Lakers, they will "look at everything."

The Lakers want to preserve cap space for 2014 and also would like to decrease their tax burden for the 13-14 season if Howard leaves.
