The Golden State Warriors have picked up the team option on Head Coach Mark Jackson's contract for the 2014-15 season, the team announced on Wednesday.

Jackson guided the Warriors to a 47-35 regular-season record last season, finishing second in the Pacific Division and earning the sixth seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

The Warriors then defeated the Denver Nuggets in the first round and lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the conference semifinals.

Jackson could engage in extension talks with the Warriors.
