Manu Ginobili took a pay cut to remain with the San Antonio Spurs.

“He’s been the heart and soul of our team for many years,” R.C. Buford said. “He made a significant sacrifice to comeback and join this group.”

Ginobili signed for a reported $14 million over two seasons.

Buford expects Ginobili to remain productive, despite the two-time All-Star's natural decline in athleticism.

“He was still in the top 25 percent of guards in PER,” Buford said.
