Tracy McGrady has announced his retirement from the NBA.

McGrady played last season in China before returning to the NBA for a playoff run with the San Antonio Spurs. McGrady played sparingly for the Spurs.

McGrady was drafted in the lottery by the Toronto Raptors in 1997 and became one of the NBA's best players after signing with the Orlando Magic in free agency in 2000. McGrady was later traded to the Houston Rockets where he and Yao Ming made one of the most formidable inside/outside combinations in the league, but their careers were slowed by injury.
