Mike Woodson said on Wednesday that Chris Smith being J.R. Smith's brother increases his chances of making the New York Knicks.

"Sure it does," Woodson said.

Smith was invited to the Knicks' training camp under a non-guaranteed deal.

Smith missed last season due to knee surgery.

J.R. Smith signed a new contract with the Knicks in the offseason.
