The Brooklyn Nets have lost Brook Lopez for the remainder of the season with a broken foot, a league source has confirmed.

Lopez broke the surgically-repaired right foot that he fractured in 2011 and later had a screw replaced in.

He is believed to have suffered the injury sometime in the second half of Brooklyn's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.

Lopez played 44 minutes, including many with the injury. The Nets discovered the injury after the game when Lopez underwent X-rays on his troublesome foot.
