Iowa Energy guard/forward Othyus Jeffers has been named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played in November and December.  The honor, the first of the 2013-14 season, is also the first of Jeffers’ NBA D-League career.

Jeffers (6-5, 200, Robert Morris) led Iowa to a 9-4 record to start the 2013-14 season, averaging 24.2 points, fourth-best in the NBA D-League, while shooting 50 percent from the floor.  He ranked second in the league in rebounds (12.4 rpg), steals (2.4 spg), and minutes (40.2 mpg) during November and December.

Jeffers scored in double figures in all 13 contests, including 10 20-plus point games and a 30-point outing to open the season on Nov. 30.  For his efforts, he was named NBA D-League Performer of the Week on Dec. 2.
