The Chicago Bulls will waive Andrew Bynum to save $20.6 million in salary and luxury tax.

The Bulls have been the most fiscally conservative big market team in the NBA throughout the past decade.

"We are confident we are going to take these resources and put them back into our team," said John Paxson.

Ownership and Gar Forman spoke with Derrick Rose about the deal and Paxson described the communication as positive.
