The Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves are discussing a deal that would send Chase Budinger and J.J. Barea to Memphis for Tayshaun Prince and potentially Tony Allen, according to sources.

Players in the deal are still fluid.

The Grizzlies have been trying hard to unload the contract of Prince, which runs through this season and next season at upwards of $7 million per year.

The Timberwolves want to add defensive toughness to the team. Budinger has missed most of the season due to knee surgery.
