The Houston Rockets have begun revisiting trade talks with the Philadelphia 76ers on Omer Asik.

The teams engaged in trade talks in December when the Rockets set a deadline on moving Asik, which was eventually abandoned.

The 76ers are $11 million under the salary cap.

Sources say the Rockets continue to seek a first round pick for Asik. The 76ers own the 2014 first round pick of the New Orleans Pelicans (top-five protected), but they are looking to use their cap space to acquire additional picks rather than trading them away.

Spencer Hawes is of interest to the Rockets.
