Zach LaVine will leave UCLA for the 2014 NBA Draft after just one season in Westwood.

LaVine's father Paul told the Los Angeles Daily News that NBA scouts and personnel believe he will be better off long-term by declaring now.

“They love him,” Paul said. “They’re picturing him at 22.”

LaVine's camp believes he should have been entrusted to handle the ball more with the second unit.

Steve Alford instead groomed his son Bryce as the point guard.

DraftExpress currently has LaVine as the 30th overall pick in their latest mock draft.
