Bradley Beal underwent an MRI exam on Saturday that revealed a non-displaced fracture of the scaphoid bone in his left (non-shooting) wrist that will require surgery, the Washington Wizards announced.

The injury occurred in the first quarter of a preseason game against Charlotte on Oct. 10.

A timeline for Beal’s recovery will be announced following his surgery.

NBA.com and the Washington Post have reported that Beal is expected to miss approximately two months.
