Reggie Jackson and the Oklahoma City Thunder did not agree upon a new contract and he's said that he'll seek a starting role as a restricted free agent in the summer.

At a shootaround before the Thunder’s home opener last Saturday, Jackson even hinted that he might not call Oklahoma City home for much longer when he said he is “just trying to play my role while I’m here.”

Jackson was publicly criticized by Scott Brooks after his season debut for playing selfishly at times.

“I don’t play for the fans so I’m not worried,” Jackson said when asked to explain future moments that might be viewed as selfish. “As long as my teammates know that my heart’s in the right spot, that I’m trying to do everything I can to go out there and compete and help my teammates and that we’re all trying to rally and get a win, that’s all I care about. Some fans are going to cheer you on. Some fans aren’t going to do so. They’re going to criticize you. That’s how the world works. So I’m not really worried about it.”
