The Sacramento Kings have started the season with a 4-1 record and are comfortable with their roster now after a year in which they have been incredibly active in exploring trade scenarios.

"(Coach) Michael Malone and I," D'Alessandro said, "in our first meeting with the team, we looked at everyone in the room and said, 'Guys, we picked this team now.' Our ownership, our front office, our coaching staff -- this is our team. Last year, we came in here and we couldn't say that. Do we want to take our time a little and see where this thing goes? Yeah. It's a different feeling. Yes, we want to see what this team is now. Does that mean any team in the league is ever sitting on their hands and saying they're done? No. Of course not. But we really feel about the acquisitions we made. We feel great about guys like (Omri) Casspi and Darren (Collison) and Ryan (Hollins). (Ramon) Sessions is now starting to come along as well. We want to see what we have here.

"When you talk about thirst, last year when we came in, we knew we had to disrupt the whole roster," said general manager Pete D'Alessandro. "Dismantle. I don't know if that was a thirst as much as -- well, it was a thirst. It was a necessity, right? Our eyes are always open. We're always looking to get better. But we are very happy with the acquisitions that we made. We're going to take a wait-and-see approach and see how this thing goes. Obviously every team in the league is looking for that one magical guy, but let's see if this chemistry's right for a little bit."
