The Los Angeles Clippers continue to work on acquiring Austin Rivers from the Boston Celtics.

The Clippers are searching for a third team to help facilitate the trade to give the Celtics an expiring deal along with a second round pick.

Rivers is being dealt to the Celtics from the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the Jeff Green trade.

Doc Rivers told reporters on Saturday he’d be open to coaching his son, and several members of the organization, including general manager Dave Wohl and assistant coaches Lawrence Frank and Mike Woodson, have encouraged Doc Rivers to forget the perception of nepotism and take on Austin Rivers, according to sources.
