After receiving a second opinion in Los Angeles, free agent seven-footer Miroslav Raduljica is sidelined five weeks to rehabilitate and rest a bone bruise in his left ankle, sources told RealGM.

Raduljica met with Dr. Kenneth Jung of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic last week and was given a six-week return timetable.

The injury isn’t serious beyond healing the ankle, and no issues are expected after the recovery timeframe.

Raduljica started the season as a leading performer for Shandong in the Chinese Basketball Association, but dealt with the ankle injury during his two 10-day contracts with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He produced eight points, five rebounds and 23 minutes played in five games this season, finalizing a deal with the Timberwolves in late December.

Raduljica, 27, played for the Milwaukee Bucks a season ago, averaging 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 48 games. The Serbian center helped lead his national team to the silver medal in the World Cup of basketball over the summer.
