The Dallas Mavericks have interest in Larry Sanders, though it is described as "cautious and complicated."

Sanders and the Milwaukee Bucks agreed upon a buyout on Wednesday.

The Mavs can only offer the veteran’s minimum to Sanders at this point.

Sanders is represented by Happy Walters, who has a strong relationship with the Dallas front office and also represents Amar'e Stoudemire.

The Mavericks also wouldn't pursue Sanders without speaking first to Monta Ellis, who was teammates with him in Milwaukee and had a confrontation during the 2013 NBA Playoffs.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that there is presently no plan for Sanders to sign with an NBA team this season once he clears waivers.
