Doc Rivers praised the play of Dwight Howard in Game 1 of the Los Angeles Clippers-Houston Rockets series.

Howard had 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Rivers believes the center has played as athletically as he did during his stint with the Orlando Magic.

“I have not seen him this athletic since maybe the Orlando years – powerful, athletic,” Rivers said. “Yeah, he has it back for sure.”

“He is disruptive, he is tough. There were a lot of times where I thought we had baskets and then Superman showed up. He is a very disruptive guy to score against. He got three blocks away from his guy over another guy. Usually you don’t block a shot when another guy is trying to block the shot and you jump over your own guy.”
