Dwight Howard is questionable for Game 2 with a sprained left knee. Howard sat out the Houston Rockets' practice on Wednesday.

Howard and Kevin McHale both said that his availability will depend how he feels Thursday throughout the day and before game time.

"I have to listen to my body," Howard said. "The most important thing is that I'm healthy. Nobody can understand an injury but the person that's injured. So, it's going to be on how I feel. If I feel I can tolerate and go out and play through it, then I will. But my career is the most important thing.

"I want to do whatever I can to help this team, but I can't help the team if I'm hurt."

McHale said he isn't sure what adjustments he'll have to make if Howard can't play.

"We'll deal with that (Thursday), I'm not sure what it's going to be," he said. "I'm not going to speculate. We'll see where Dwight's at tomorrow and make our adjustments accordingly. I want Dwight to play tomorrow, but today is not tomorrow, and we'll find out what that is tomorrow."

Most of the Rockets' players said they were gearing their mindsets toward Howard not playing.

"Yeah, we'll see how the rest of the day goes and tomorrow's shootaround," said star guard James Harden. "Hopefully, the big fella can be out there helping us out. But we'll take it for what it is in the morning."

"We've dealt with injuries and uncertainty all year and we've always come out on top our situation," forward Trevor Ariza said. "It's no different now. We just have to step up and take a bigger role in what we're doing if Dwight can't go. You can't worry about if he's going to play or not. Of course, he's a big part of what we're doing and a big part of our team, but if he can't go, we can't use that as an excuse not to try to win the game."
