LeBron James joined Dwyane Wade for a postgame interview after Game 3 on ESPN.

James and Wade were teammates for four seasons with the Miami Heat.

"Obviously I played with you for four years and I've seen you in many different arenas; let's talk about your mindset right now, because I see a different LeBron, I see a different focus and look that I haven't seen, and I've seen a lot. Tell everybody about your mindset," Wade said.

"I'm just trying to do whatever it takes at this point," James replied. "And being undermatched, being undermanned, being counted out; everything is against us right now. We don't have nothing to lose. The group of guys I have, they're playing off straight motivation from everyone, not only in this series, not only coming into the playoffs, not only coming into this season. Their whole professional careers, throughout their whole collegiate careers and so on."

Wade also asked if playing against the regular season MVP, Stephen Curry, provided extra motivation for James. Wade alluded to The Finals featuring Michael Jordan going up against regular season MVP Karl Malone.

"I didn't think I needed it," said James. "I had so much motivation coming into this season, but I knew it was going to be a long process. I knew what I was giving up and what it was going to take from me to take our guys to be ready to be part of this. I didn't think we'd get to this point right now, but I was ready to lead if we got to this point."

Curry and James Harden finished ahead of James.

"I can't say I wasn't upset finishing third, but I didn't need that extra motivation."
