The San Antonio Spurs have signed Austin D-League guard Jonathon Simmons to a two-year contract worth the veteran's minimum, league sources told RealGM.

The Spurs will have a full guarantee on the first year of Simmons' deal and a team option on the second season. His agency, Priority Sports, announced the deal Friday. Simmons had played for the Brooklyn Nets' summer league team in Orlando, averaging 12 points a game.

Simmons averaged 15.2 points and 4.3 rebounds for the Spurs' D-League affiliate last season. He went unselected in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Houston.
