If the Sacramento Kings decide to fire George Karl, the team could to elevate Corliss Williamson to interim head coach.

Nancy Lieberman is also an assistant coach for the Kings, but she's unlikely to be named interim head coach.

"I don't think I'm in limbo," Karl said. "I think I've got a heckuva challenge [against] a team that's played damn well -- probably it's best basketball in the last six weeks. If you want to overreact to the last four or five games, that's somebody else's reaction, not my reaction. I think this team is still in a place that we can solve some problems and be good."

Williamson joined the Kings as an assistant in 2013 after several years coaching in college. Williamson played for the Kings for five seasons at the beginning of his career and an additional two before retiring.
