LeBron James endorsed playing power forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their win against the Washington Wizards in which Kevin Love sat and they played small-ball.

"It's definitely the right time," said James.

James has been reluctant to play the position in the past.

James said he was "OK" with playing there occasionally, but "it's not something I love to do as far as extensively."

James played there in 2012 when Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem were injured and it worked extraordinarily well.

"I mean, our offense is a lot faster, a little bit more precise with me at the four," James said. "I'm going to be setting a lot more transition and halfcourt pick and rolls, which is OK. I know I can either get my guy open or if they put two on the ball I'm able to make a play, able to be a quarterback in that situation."
