The San Antonio Spurs have waived Rasual Butler to create a roster spot for Kevin Martin.

Martin agreed to sign with the Spurs shortly after he was waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Butler was averaging 2.7 points and 1.22 rebounds in 9.4 minutes over 46 games for the Spurs this season.

Butler turns 37 in May and has been in the NBA since 2002.
