Prosecutors have filed a notice of accusation against Mike Scott after police found marijuana and MDMA in his car during a traffic stop last July.

Scott is being charged with two counts of felony drug possession.

According to a Banks County Sheriff’s Office report that was reviewed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, deputies attempted to stop a Chevy Tahoe driven by Scott’s brother Antonn for following too closely to other vehicles on the morning of July 30, 2015. Antonn Scott failed to pull over and eventually reached 98 mph, traveling two miles on Interstate 85 before finally pulling to the side of the road. Mike Scott, a passenger, told police there was marijuana in the car and that any drugs found belonged to him.

Scott played in 75 games off the bench for the Hawks last season, averaging 6.2 points and one assist per game in his fourth NBA season out of Virginia. He made $3.3 million last season, and Atlanta has a team option for next season that would pay him the same amount.
