Jeff Bower has reached agreement on a multi-year deal with the Detroit Pistons to remain as general manager.

Bower works under Stan Van Gundy and was entering the final season of his three-year deal.

Bower has been the top day-to-day executive for Van Gundy and helped engineer trades for Reggie Jackson and Tobias Harris.

Bower had been the general manager of the New Orleans Hornets from 2001-03 and 2005-10, and spent the 2013-14 season as head coach of Marist College before joining Van Gundy and the Pistons.
