Phil Jackson told Derrick Rose he plans on pursuing Kevin Durant in free agency on July 1st.

The New York Knicks have widely been expected to pursue Durant for several years.

Jackson hopes he can sell Durant on the idea of joining Rose, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

Durant has been widely expected to re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder or join the Golden State Warriors.
